Healthy Ageing

Everyone has a different ageing journey. What that journey looks like is shaped by our lifestyle choices. Healthy ageing means making choices every day that help you maintain, and even regain, your independence.

It’s time to own ageing

There’s no such thing as a typical older person because everyone is unique! While society seems to think in stereotypes, we know age shouldn’t define how we choose to live life.

Healthy ageing is a term used by the World Health Organisation. They aim to help everyone focus on thriving at any age. Part of this philosophy is understanding that 'health' includes physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, and that we can always learn and change.

You can make the choice to turn up your independence today!

Look Up

Yale University found that people who believe ageing is positive, live 7.5 years longer than people who think ageing is negative. By changing your perspective and reframing how you think, you can add life to your years, not just years to your life.

Rise Up

Roughly 50% of the challenges older people report experiencing with daily living activities can be overcome or reduced. Try using assistive products or make simple modifications to your environment. You can take the power back and live life your way.
