State Library of Victoria

State Library of Victoria
If you love reading, have some spare time, and you cherish books, try volunteering at the library. Volunteering is all about making a difference in the community and is a fantastic way to meet people and learn something new. You can get involved in a range of activities at the library such as working as a Greeter. Volunteer greeters welcome and assist visitors to find their way around the library spaces and exhibitions. You’ll escort visitors to where they need to go, provide basic visitor information, and refer questions to staff. Or you can act as a Tour Guide. You’ll engage visitors by sharing information about current exhibitions and events. You’ll also guide them through the State Library Victoria history and architecture, and public and education programs. It’s a wonderful way to stay active, engaged, and connected to the community.
