The Alluvians

The Alluvians is a gay men’s social group based in Castlemaine. It’s a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming environment for gay, bi, and trans men. You can join informal gatherings like a weekly walking group on Tuesday in the Botanical Gardens. The walks are dog friendly and are a great opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new people, and enjoy a coffee after your walk. You can also join monthly drinks and some more formal events during the year which attract men from further afield. Throughout the year, there are also regular events including a car rally, Christmas in July, curry night, and Melbourne Cup picnic in the Botanical Gardens. There’s also an Australia Day Pool Party and a train trip with lunch at a pub in Rochester. New members are always welcome.
