What is a tap turner?

A tap turner fits over the twist handles of your indoor and outdoor taps to provide extra leverage to turn the faucet on and off. This requires less strength than turn the tap on your own and avoids pain from trying to grip and turn at the same time.

There are several types of tap turner available. Indoor tap turners usually come as a pair in red and blue plastic (hot tap and cold tap) so that you can fit them to your taps and leave them there ready to be used. Outdoor tap turners tend to be made of sturdy silicone.

Tap turners are useful if you have arthritis, suffer upper limb weakness, have a hand tremor, fatigue, or pain.
